This Privacy Policy describes how Anatoli Rak ("we", "us", "Posely") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Posely mobile application (the "App"). We take your privacy seriously and have designed Posely to collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service.
The short version: Posely analyzes your cycling videos entirely on your device. We never upload, store, or transmit your video footage. We do store your account information and bike fit measurements in our secure database so you can access them across sessions.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you create an account and use Posely, we collect:
- Account information — your email address and name, provided through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
- Body parameters — height, weight, and inseam measurement, which you enter to calculate bike fit recommendations.
- Riding profile — your riding style (road, gravel, MTB, etc.) and experience level.
- Bike information — bike name, model, components, and maintenance notes you choose to record.
- Pain and discomfort data — body areas you select in the Pain Diagnosis feature, used solely to suggest fit adjustments.
1.2 Information generated by the App
- Bike fit measurements — knee, hip, and back angles computed from your videos. Only the numerical results are stored, not the videos themselves.
- Saddle height recommendations — calculated from your inseam and angle measurements.
- Analysis history — timestamps and parameter snapshots of your past analyses.
1.3 Information about purchases
- Purchase records — when you upgrade to Posely Premium, our payment processor (RevenueCat) records the transaction. We receive a confirmation that your account has premium entitlement, but we do not see or store your payment card details. Apple processes the actual payment.
1.4 What we explicitly do NOT collect
- Your videos. Pose analysis runs on-device using Apple's neural framework. Videos never leave your phone.
- Your location. We do not request or use GPS or location services.
- Your contacts, photos library, calendar, or microphone.
- Advertising identifiers. We do not track you across apps or websites.
- Health app data. We do not read from or write to Apple Health.
2. How we use your information
We use the information described above only for the following purposes:
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To compute personalized bike fit recommendations.
- To save your fit history so you can track changes over time.
- To verify your premium entitlement after a purchase.
- To respond to support requests you send to us.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or technical issues.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating Posely.
3. How your data is stored
Account & profile data
Stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database). Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Fit measurements & history
Stored in Supabase, linked to your account.
Purchase entitlement
Managed by RevenueCat. We receive only entitlement status (premium / not premium).
Videos
Never uploaded. Processed on-device. Discarded by the App after analysis unless you choose to keep them.

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate Posely. They act as data processors on our behalf:
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising or marketing. We share data with the third-party processors listed above only as necessary to operate the App. We may disclose information if legally required to do so by a valid court order or government request.
6. Data retention
We retain your account information and fit history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data from our active database within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days. Anonymized statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU under GDPR, the UK under UK GDPR, and California under CCPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data through the App's profile settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data — directly in the App via
Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format. Email getposely@gmail.com to request this.
- Withdraw consent or object to processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children's privacy
Posely is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. The App offers a "Kids Mode" for fit recommendations on smaller bikes, but the account itself must belong to an adult.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular reviews. However, no system can guarantee absolute security. You can help by keeping your device and account credentials secure.
10. International data transfers
Our service providers operate servers in the United States and the European Union. By using Posely, you understand that your information may be processed in countries outside your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Posely after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
