Delete your account
You have full control over your data and can delete your account at any time.
Posely is committed to giving you complete control over your information. You can delete your account and all associated data directly inside the App, in just a few taps.
Delete from inside the App (recommended)
- Open the Posely app on your iPhone.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon in the bottom right).
- Scroll to Account and tap it.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation screen and tap Confirm Delete.
That's it. Your account, all your fit history, body parameters, bikes, notes, and pain records are scheduled for permanent deletion immediately.
What happens when you delete your account
Account & profile
Removed from our active database within minutes.
Fit history & analyses
All numerical data is removed immediately.
Bike notes & maintenance records
Removed immediately.
Pain records
Removed immediately.
Backups
Purged from our backup systems within 90 days.
Sign in with Apple token
Revoked, so the App can no longer access your Apple ID.
Premium purchase
Your purchase remains attached to your Apple ID. If you create a new account later, you can restore it via "Restore Purchases".
This action cannot be undone. Once you confirm deletion, your fit history and all associated data are gone. If you want to take a break instead, you can simply sign out and your data will be waiting when you return.
Can't access the App?
If you cannot access the App (for example, your phone is lost, broken, or you've uninstalled it), you can request account deletion by email:
- Send an email from the email address associated with your Posely account to getposely@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line:
Account deletion request.
- Include the email address you signed up with (if different from the one you're emailing from).
We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
What we keep, and why
After your account is deleted, we may retain a minimal record solely to:
- Confirm to Apple that we honored your account deletion (regulatory requirement).
- Defend against fraud, chargebacks, or legal claims (limited to relevant transaction records).
- Comply with tax and accounting obligations (purchase invoices, anonymized).
This residual information is the minimum required by law and cannot be used to identify you for any other purpose.
